How can I create electromagnetism?

Creating an electromagnetic field is very simple.

All you need is:

1) Copper Wire
2) Battery (AA is suggested)
3) A nail
4) Wire Strippers (optional)
5) Tape (Electrical tape advised)
Steps:

Remove the some insulation at the ends of the copper wire using the wire strippers. (Removing 4cm from each end is suggested)

Wrap the copper wire around a nail. The more you wrap the wire, the better.

Connect the 2 ends of the copper wire to the two ends of a battery and tape them. Your electromagnet is ready.

To check for the electromagnetism produced, hold the nail to a compass; the compass needle will start to spin and will point to the nail.
