The answer is $d = 2x-6$

I use $y = mx+n$ line equation form to solve these problems. ( $m$ is the slope)

Parallel lines have the same slope. So our unkown line has a slope of $2$ .

(lets call our unknown line as $d$ )

$d = 2x + n$

Now plug the given point to find $n$

$2 = 2*4+n$
$n=-6$

So here is the equation:

$d=2x-6$
