First of all, refer to the Index law of (am)n=amn

This means when there's a power of a power, the powers are multiplied. e.g. (24)2=24×2=28

(5x4y2)3:

We have to multiply all the powers of the values within the bracket by 3 thus.

(5x4y2)3= (5)3x4×3y2×3=125x12y6

125x12y6 is thus the answer.
