Let #X = ((a, b),(c, d))#,

Then #4X = ((4a, 4b),(4c, 4d))#,

In order to get:

#((8, -6),(-6, 5)) +4X = ((-5, 9),(4, 4))#

we need:

#8+4a = -5#, so #a = -13/4#

#-6+4b = 9#, so #b = 15/4#

#-6 +4c = 4#, so #c = 5/2#

#5+4d = 4#, so #d = -1/4#

Therefore,

#X = ((-13/4, 15/4),(5/2, -1/4))#
