Let $X = ((a, b),(c, d))$ ,

Then $4X = ((4a, 4b),(4c, 4d))$ ,

In order to get:

$((8, -6),(-6, 5)) +4X = ((-5, 9),(4, 4))$

we need:

$8+4a = -5$ , so $a = -13/4$

$-6+4b = 9$ , so $b = 15/4$

$-6 +4c = 4$ , so $c = 5/2$

$5+4d = 4$ , so $d = -1/4$

Therefore,

$X = ((-13/4, 15/4),(5/2, -1/4))$
