Put u = x +#pi/6# and draw the graph of y = sin u. Now u = 0 is the vertical axis.

Explanation:

It will be parallel to the original Y axis, to the left of original by #pi/6# units. Otherwise there is no difference from the sine graph.
Change is only in origin ( shifted to the left by #pi/6# units). There is no change of scale and the shape of the sine graph is retained.
