Measure of central tendency.

With a given set of data, and you are asked to find the most suitable value of the lot, these three methods would help.

The most occurring value would be the mode.

The central value would be the median.

The average of the values would be the mean.

This is just the basic. This varies with continuous and discontinuous data, etc.
