A german geophysicist and meteorologist
Explanation:
In 1912 he proposed a theory that Continents are exhibiting continental drift and moving from each other and that present continents were all at one place joined together as a single larger landmass. He strengthen his theory by providing fossil, similarity of rocks at same age, glaciation ,and geometric fit of continents if they are resumed back to their initial position. However Wegener theory lacked the mechanism and causes of continental drift. he Suggested that continents move in response to centripetal force produced by earth's rotation but that later came out not so true.
