If one follows them on cal find that the striations from India, Australia, Africa, and South America point to same directions which meteorologists think join at the South Pole. They must have been the same land mass, Gondwana.
Other pieces of evidence are mountains plateaus, extinct rivers. They sometimes end abruptly, but when attached with other continents' landforms, they create perfect alignment.
