Start off by finding the slope mm
The formula for finding mm is m=(y_1-y_2)/(x_1-x_2)m=y1y2x1x2
So m=(9-7)/(8-4)m=9784
m=2/4=1/2m=24=12
Now you have y=1/2x+cy=12x+c
Substitute any one of those points. I am going with (4, 7)(4,7)
So you have 7=1/2(4)+c7=12(4)+c
7=2+c7=2+c
c=5c=5
