Condensation involves gas particles coming together to form a liquid. An example of this is water forming on a glass. In a warm room, water vapor from the air forms water droplets on a cold glass.

I thought I would provide two different visuals to show phase changes for the three states of matter.

This first one just shows the general phase changes between the three states of matter.

This second one is what your textbook or professor may show in class. This shows what happens when you add or remove heat. Note that pressure is held constant.
