Explanation:
In a gel electrophoresis, the cut DNA being negatively charged fragments get separated by forcing them to move towards the anode under an electric field.
Now, larger the DNA fragment size, higher it's overall negative charge and higher it's attraction towards the positively charged anode.
Therefore, the largest DNA fragment band will be closest to the well.
