If 2n=10, then there are 10 two chromatid chromosomes.

  • 10 centromeres at prophase
  • 20 chormatids at metaphase
  • 20 chromosomes at anaphase
  • 20 chromosomes at telophase

Explanation:

Each chromosome has one centromere, therefore 10 chromosomes =10 centromeres. Since there are 10 two chromatid chromosomes, the total of chromatids is 20.

During anaphase, they split to one chromatid chromosomes so each two chromatid chromosome will create two one chromatid chromosomes 2×10=20.

And the number of chromosomes doesn't change between anaphase and telophase, so there are still 20 chromosomes.
