Why is Pangaea important?
1 Answer
Pangaea is important because it was a super continent that existed when all the continents were joined together.
Explanation:
Now the continents are separated due to the continental drift. Under the Earth's crust, hot rock rises to the mantle. Then it separates in two directions because there is nowhere to go. Friction causes the tectonic plates to move and finally, the rock cools down and goes back to the core. This process is caused by convention currents that keep on turning.
