There is a huge difference between them.
Explanation:
Constellations are stars that form some meaningful figure: mythological people (Hercules, Andromeda) or creatures (Cetus- sea monster), manufactured devices (Horologium - pendullum clock). The stars are not linked by anything else than human imagination.
