Why are astronomers more interested in exploring Mars rather than Venus?

Mars is more habitable
Explanation:
Because venus has an extremely hot surface it is very hard to colonise and travel around. Mars on the other hand is a way better candidate. It's closer, colder, more acceceble surface and scientists have many ideas of how to make it like earth. It's just that much better of a planet.
