$v$ = volume

So $n=cv$

In dilution problems like this the total amount of material stays the same, you are just diluting it.

A useful expression is:

$C_1V_1=C_2V_2$

So $C_2=(C_1V_1)/(V_2)=(0.5xx125)/((775+125))=0.0694mM=69.4muM$
