Length of rectangle in terms of $x$ and $y$ is $3x+y-4$ .

If the length of a rectangle is $l$ and breadth is $b$ , its perimeter is $2xx(l+b)$ .

As breadth is $(2x+y)$ and perimeter is $10x+4y-8$ , we can write this as

$2xx(l+2x+y)=10x+4y-8$ and dividing by $2$ , we get

$l+2x+y=5x+2y-4$

or $l=5x+2y-4-2x-y$

i.e. $l=3x+y-4$

Hence, length of rectangle in terms of $x$ and $y$ is $3x+y-4$ .
