Length of rectangle in terms of x and y is 3x+y-4.

Explanation:

If the length of a rectangle is l and breadth is b, its perimeter is 2xx(l+b).

As breadth is (2x+y) and perimeter is 10x+4y-8, we can write this as

2xx(l+2x+y)=10x+4y-8 and dividing by 2, we get

l+2x+y=5x+2y-4

or l=5x+2y-4-2x-y

i.e. l=3x+y-4

Hence, length of rectangle in terms of x and y is 3x+y-4.
