12 moles of oxygen is needed.

Explanation:

We know that it takes 6 moles of oxygen to completely react with 2 moles of propane. Because we want to know how many moles of oxygen need for 4 moles we can calculate it out by ratios.

Let x = number of moles of oxygen to react with 4 moles of propane

2/6=4/X

2x=4*6

2x=24

x=12
