Kinetic energy is given as =12mv2 ......(1)

Using equation (1) we get
KE2kg=12(2)v2=v2 .....(2)
and KE1kg=12(1)(2v)2=2v2 ......(3)

Dividing (2) with (3)
KE2kgKE1kg=v22v2
KE2kgKE1kg=12

Compared to the 1kg ball, the 2kg ball has half the kinetic energy.
