A "2-Molar Solution" is by definition 2 moles of a compound in 1 liter (1000mL) of solvent. For sodium hydroxide (NaOH) one mole is 40 grams. Two moles is then 80g. If you only want 100mL, you only need (100"mL")/(1000mL) = 0.1 as much,
or 0.10 xx 80 = 8 grams of NaOH in 100 mL of water.

In practice, be sure that the final solution has cooled to 20'C for an accurate reading in a calibrated volumetric flask (or correct for the actual volume at constant temperature).
