Method 1 - Making the radical include both the numerator and denominator rather than two separate square roots

$\frac{\sqrt{50}}{\sqrt{2}}$ $sqrt50/sqrt2$

$= \sqrt{\frac{50}{2}}$ $=sqrt(50/2)$

$= \sqrt{25}$ $=sqrt25$

$= 5$ $=5$

Method 2 - Simplifying the radical in the numerator then simplifying the overall fraction

$\frac{\sqrt{50}}{\sqrt{2}}$ $sqrt50/sqrt2$

$= \frac{\sqrt{25 \cdot 2}}{\sqrt{2}}$ $=sqrt(25*2)/sqrt2$

$= \frac{5 \sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}$ $=(5color(red)(sqrt2))/color(red)(sqrt2)$

$= 5$ $=5$
