Bashai is left with 23 cakes

Explanation:

Let us assume Firawari baked x cakes, then Bashai baked thrice i.e. 3x cakes.

As Bashai gave away 115 cakes, now he has 3x-115 and Firawari's x cakes are twice as many.

Hence, x=2xx(3x-115) or

x=6x-230 or

6x-x=230 or

5x=230 and x=230/5=46

Hence, Bashai had baked 3xx46=138 cakes and as he had given away 115 cakes, he is left with 138-115=23 cakes.
