Take logs of both sides

ln(2^(x+1))=ln(3^(x-1))

(x+1)ln(2)=(x-1)ln(3)

xln(2)+ln(2)=xln(3)-ln(3)

xln(3)-xln(2)=ln(2)+ln(3)

x=(ln(2)+ln(3))/(ln(3)-ln(2)

But:
Addition of logs is the consequence of multiplication of the source numbers.

Subtraction of logs is the consequence of division of the source numbers.

x=ln(6)/(ln(3/2))
