To convert the polar coordinate $(-4, pi/6)$ to rectangular coordinates, you have to use the following

$x=r cos theta$ and $y=r sin theta$

given $r=-4$ and $theta=pi/6$

$x=r cos theta=-4 *cos (pi/6)=-4*sqrt3/2=-2sqrt3$

$y=r sin theta=-4* sin (pi/6)=-4*(1/2)=-2$
