Explanation:

(X-l_x)/(u_x-l_x)=(Y-l_y)/(u_y-l_y)
where X = reading in X-scale
Y= reading in y-scale

u_x =upper fixed point of X scale
u_y =upper fixed point of Y scale
l_x =lower fixed point of X scale
l_y=lower fixed point of Y scale

In our case
X- scale is Kelvin
So u_x =upper fixed point of X scale = 373
l_x =lower fixed point of X scale=273

and y- scale is Fareheit
u_y =upper fixed point of Y scale=212
l_y =lower fixed point of Y scale=32
(X-273)/(373-273)=(62-32)/(212-32)
X=100/6+273=16.67+273 = 289.67
