You cannot convert mass to density. You can calculate density from mass and volume.

$D=M/V$ ,

where:

$D$ is density, $M$ is mass, and $V$ is volume.

If you known mass and volume, you can calculate density.

Example: What is the density of a sample of aluminum with a mass of $"5.42 g"$ and a volume of $"3.19 cm"^3"$ ?

$D=("5.42 g")/("3.19 cm"^3)="1.70 g/cm"^3"$

By definition, density, mass per unit volume, is given by the quotient... $rho_"density"="mass of sample"/"volume of sample"$ .

And so you need a measurement of the volume of the sample. For solids, liquids, and gases, what is your estimate of their relative densities?
