You must add together terms that have the same kind of variables (such as a^3a3) according to their numerical values (with sign):
for example:
You can add: 5a^3+2a^3=7a^35a3+2a3=7a3 the variables are of the same kind a^3a3 so you simply add the mumerical values;
You cannot add: 5a^3+3a^25a3+3a2 the variables are different!!!!
You add together, according to their sign, single numbers (without variables).
Have a go!

If you add correctly, you should get 3a^3+4a^2-a+53a3+4a2a+5.
