Finding $\frac{1}{10}$ $1/10$ of a number is the same as dividing it by $10$ $10$ .

To find a tenth of something simply multiply it by $\frac{1}{10}$ $1/10$ and then simplify. That will be a tenth of it:

$20$ $20$ can be put over $1$ $1$ , since anything divided by $1$ $1$ is itself. So do that and multiply:

$\frac{1}{10} \times \frac{20}{1} \to \frac{20}{10} \to 2$ $1/10 xx 20/1 rarr 20/10 rarr 2$

Here are a couple more examples:
