Domain: $RR$ (all Real numbers)
Range: $RR$ (all Real numbers)

$y=3x+1$ is defined for all Real values of $x$ ; therefore the Domain is all Real values.

Re-arranging as $(y-1)/3=x$ , we can see that this is also defined for all Real values of $y$ ; therefore the Range is all Real values.

(Note that in actual fact, the Domain and Range cover all Complex values too).

How do you find the domain and range of y=3x+1y=3x+1y=3x+1?
