How do you graph the inequality y > x?

Explanation:

y>x is a graph representing all values of y that are above the graph y=x

so we graph y=x like normal but use a dashed line because it is y > x not y>=x then we shade in all values greater then the line y=x or in other words all values above the line.

Quick tip: I like to think the > symbol points up so it tells me to shade all values above the line and the < points down so I shade below the line.
