Assign a value to x to find the value of y.

If x is $- 1$ $-1$ , $y = {(- 5)}^{2} = 25$ $y=(-5)^2 = 25$

If x is zero $y = {(- 4)}^{2} = 16$ $y=(-4)^2 = 16$

If x is 1, $y = {(- 3)}^{2} = 9$ $y=(-3)^2 = 9$

If x is 4, $y = 0$ $y=0$

etc.
