$32 - 8 c$ $32-8c$

Distributing the term $- 4$ $-4$ through the expression $(2 c - 8)$ $(2c-8)$ gives

$(2 c) \times (- 4) - 8 \times (- 4)$ $(2c)times(-4)-8times(-4)$

On the left, a negative times a positive is a negative. On the right, a negative times a negative is a positive, giving

$- 8 c + 32$ $-8c+32$

I personally prefer to put the positive value first, giving

$32 - 8 c$ $32-8c$
