$ln e^ln x - ln(x-2) = ln 8$

$=>ln x - ln(x-2) = ln 8$

$=>ln (x/(x-2) )= ln 8$

$=> (x/(x-2) )= 8$

$=>8x-16=x$

$=>7x=16=>x=16/7$
