I'm uncertain what format you want your "solution" in.
You could re-write the inequality
Maybe drawing a graph would be one way of expressing the solution.
To do this
- Draw the line for the equation
y = x-4y=x−4 (to do this draw a straight line through the intercept points(0,-4)(0,−4) and(4,0)(4,0) - Shade the area below and to the left of your line as the solution area (since y values below this line are less than corresponding values on the line).
