a way of solving it it with sum and multiplication. with an equation like this one in the form #ax^2+bx+c=0# the sum of your answers is

-b/a and the multiplication is c/a.
so in this case:

sum: #-2/-1=2#

multiplication: #-1/-1=1#

So what numbers have sum 2 and multiplication 1?
