You must first find the slope.

Explanation:

m = (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)

m = (-5 - (-4))/(2 - (-6))

m = -1/8

Now, use point slope form, one of your points and the slope that we found to convert the equation to slope intercept form, y = mx + b.

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)

y - (-5) = -1/8(x -2)

y + 5 = -1/8x + 1/4

y = -1/8x -19/4

You have your equation!
