Xylem are transport structures (basically tubes) in plants which are responsible for moving materials upwards in the plant.
Water enters terrestrial plants through the roots and is drawn up into the body of the plant by capillary action and the suction which is created by transpiration (evaporative loss of water from the leaves stems and flowers).
Turgor pressure is related to the pressure created by having more water inside of a cell. Imagine a water balloon, more water = more pressure and less water = less pressure.
Hope this helps!
