Radiation therapy is used to kill cancer cells. Radiation is also used to kill a person's bone marrow prior to a bone marrow transplant.
There are also radioisotopes that are used as contrast in medical tests, such as x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and cardiac stress tests.
