No. But dilations with a factor of #1# or #-1# are isometries.

Dilation is a process of converting an object into a similar one with all linear dimensions proportional and angular measures equal.
But, if the factor of proportionality is #1# or #-1#, dimensions will be equal, which is a case of isometry.

Isometry produces congruent objects with all linear dimensions equal and all angular measures equal.
