Is the vertebral artery a branch of the aortic arch?

Yes , aorta divides into three brances
1. Common carotid artery
2.Sub clavian artery
3.Brachiocephalic artery
which then supplies blood to all parts of the body by forming other brances like Renal artery , mesentric artery etc
