What are cold blooded animals?
1 Answer
Cold blooded animals are those in which the temperature of the blood does not remain constant.
Explanation:
Cold blooded animals are those in which the temperature of the blood does not remain constant. It changes with outside temperature in the atmosphere. These animals can't withstand low temperature in severe winter as the temperature of the blood also becomes low and may got frozen, if the temperature in atmosphere becomes zero degree centigrade. All reptiles (e.g. snake, lizard, etc.) are cold blood animals. These survive through winter through the process of hibernation. Snakes go in deeper layers of soil in winter (hibernation) and come out with onset of summer.
In warm blooded animals, the temperature of the blood remain constant irrespective of changes in atmospheric temperature. (e.g. all mammals).
