satire is the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
in gulliver's travel the story is about a man named gulliver who did 4 voyages to some unexplored and interesting islands of the world.
it has 4 parts and, in each part the description of the island on which the man visits is given. the author has presented each island, it's inhabitants ,their learning, their culture etc. very humorously.
having said all these things the author has done an irony to show what is really happening in the modern world.he has highlighted all the malpractices of england and europe and has highlighted their opposites in the inhabitants of islands the author has very cleverly highlighted what is happening all around and what must happen.
