What does scientific notation look like?

Lets say I want to say 1.3 trillion.

Instead of writing 1,300,000,000,000

I would write #1.3x10^9#

To figure out how this works, lets use another example:

I want to write 65 million (65,000,000) so that it uses up less space and is easier to read (scientific notation)

cyberbridge.mcb.harvard.educyberbridge.mcb.harvard.edu

All it is is simply counting the times the decimal place moves to the last digit of your number, then put that number as a power of 10 (#10^7#) and multiplying your new number by that.
