The Great Society was the continuation of JFK's Last Frontier which consisted in Keynesian remedies to get rid of poverty. According to Democrats and Progressives it helped relieve poverty whereas Conservatives and Republicans blame it for harming the economy.
It consisted in the creation of many social programs which were aimed at helping minorities for instance and introduced Medicaid(for poor people) and Medicare(for elderly people aged over 65).
