The natural log of pi ? That even sounds like a scary question!

I used my calculator to get an approximate value, since I know that anything involving pi will be irrational.....

So, remember that the natural logarithm is the log in base "e". Which means, the answer is the power of "e" that yields your number. In this case, e to what power is pi? It seems to be about 1.14.

Does e^pi seem like 1.14 to you?
Does 3^1.14 seem like pi?
Does 2.7^1.14 seem like pi?
