The primary cause of biodiversity loss on Earth is MAN!
Explanation:
Man is the primary reason the biodiversity of Earth is continually reduced.
There are two primary ways that man manipulates the nature to reduce biodiversity.
The primary source is destruction of biomes. The destruction of the forest, the conversion of of grasslands to farmland, the rerouting and manipulation of water, and the removal of species.
When a biome is destroyed the organisms specific to the biome are lost. We do not know how many unknown species have been eradicated by the estimate that a region the size of one and a half soccer fields are eliminated every second.
The second source of biodiversity reduction is man's manipulation of species for the purpose of agriculture. Man's choice to breed only certain types of grain or specific types of cattle in order to try to control outcomes for the production of "human food". This manipulation reduces the number of species available as man eliminates those species that do not fit the econo-agricultural needs.
