Why did early earth have conditions with extremely high temperatures?

Radioactivity during the formation of the planet.
Explanation:
The way that the Earth was formed (fusion) is a very hot and radioactive process. The Earth formed the same way a star forms but because it was on a much smaller scale it was much quicker. Atoms fusing from hydrogen to helium to lithium etc. all the way to iron (Earth's core is iron) released a lot of radiation. That made the Earth a mini sun for the first billion or so years after it formed.
