Eye lids flick is caused mainly due to tiredness. fatigue, lack of sleep.

Most of the time the flicking of the eyelid is caused by fatigue, sleepless nights, , constant rubbing,eye strain, tired eyes from computers work, dry eyes, infection, stress, maybe even a hair or eyelash in the eye. Eye strain of many forms can trigger the response.
