Explanation:
Use your pen/pencil to track and graph my words while reading
d vs t graph (note: the graph line is continuous)
- he goes to the market at a constant speed (a straight line from origin go up right)
- when he makes purchases we can neglect his movement (just a horizontal line )
- he then goes back at a constant speed but slower (the line goes back down to the origin, but since it is slower, the line is less steep than part 1
v vs t graph (there are three discontinuous parts)
- when goes to the market at a constant speed (a horizontal line at whatever speed he is going)
- when he shops, we can also neglect his movement (a horizontal line at zero)
- when he goes back at a constant speed (another horizontal line at whatever speed he is going. Of course it has to be less than part 1)
