#f(x)=-3*tan(4x^2)#

Take the derivative of the outside, #tan#

#-3f'(x)=-3*sec^2(4x^2)#

Multiply the outside by the derivative of the inside, #4x^2#

#f'(x)=-3*sec^2(4x^2)(8x)#

#f'(x)=(-3)sec^2(4x^2)(8x)#

Simplify
